Running in MN

Went to Minnesota for the holidays to visit my partners family. Haven’t been running in awhile because of being sick. I have just a few weeks to get ready for the Polar Dash, my first run in 2013.

I brought my running gear with us, because it will give me an opportunity to running cold weather.

It was really cold when I started, but after the first mile I was wearing up. I ended up doing 4 miles and it felt good.

Since I haven’t been running I decided to jut do the 10k rather than the half marathon for the polar dash in January.

Instagram Project

For the first 12 days of December Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series had an Instagram project, for each day post a picture about the theme. At the end of the 12 days there will be 12 winners to win the Rock ‘n’ Roll runners pass. I am hoping that I win one of them.

Day 2: One is the loneliest number…especially when on a loooong run! Spotlight your support by instagramming a photo of your rock-solid running partner…was able to run with each of my relatives in this photo along the course.

Day 7: From a pit of mud to a heard of sheep…show us the best running path obstacle you’ve encountered. Not really and obstacle but a distraction, had to stop and check out the sights and picture opportunities.

Day 10: Yea, we know you’re a hot shot…Football players aren’t the only ones with celebratory stances. We want to see your bet finish line pose…not a pose, but my favorite finish line picture when I realized I caught up to my ousting at the finish line!
